Now for some history and trivia: On this date in 1985: The legendary Route 66, running from Chicago to Santa Monica, Calif., was decertified, the victim of the Interstate Highway System.

Did you know: In Chinese, the KFC slogan "finger lickin' good" comes out as "eat your fingers off".

To "testify" was based on men in the Roman court swearing to a statement made by swearing on their testicles.

  Chris Walker Smith Morning! You know, it's a shame that Route 66 was decertified. I've traveled nearly the entire length of it, and will finish it at the Santa Monica Pier next month. It's a beautiful road, winding through some very picturesque towns. Brock, glad you're still around!
