TGIF Phoenix! Happy Friday! Before you get overwhelmed with FAP, I'll give you some tidbits to mull over.
On this day in history:
1862: Congress authorized the Medal of Honor.
1960: The first Etch-A-Sketch went on sale.
1984: Democratic presidential nominee Walter Mondale became the first major-party candidate to choose a woman as a running mate when he announced his choice of Geraldine Ferraro.
Strange (very strange) laws:
Up until 1884, a woman could be sent to prison for denying a husband sex.
While not as extreme as the ancient Israelite punishment for adultery (stoning), Greek men still had their fair share of discomfort when their pubic hair was removed and a large radish was shoved up their rectum.
In Minnesota, it is illegal for any man to have sexual intercourse with a live fish.
The scary part is, someone must have actually had sex with a fish to prompt that law!!
Have a great Midnight Breed Day!
