Good morning Phoenix! Are you ready for some Friday Flicks? It’s the weekend, so let’s “party like a mother”!
Today’s selection is Bad Moms.
Plot: A woman with a seemingly perfect life - a great marriage, overachieving kids, beautiful home, stunning looks and still holding down a career. However, she's over-worked, over committed and exhausted to the point that she's about to snap. Fed up, she joins forces with two other over-stressed moms and all go on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities, going on a wild un-mom like binge of freedom, fun and self-indulgence - putting them on a collision course with PTA Queen Bee Gwendolyn and her clique of devoted perfect moms.

Trivia:
• Mila Kunis's wedding ring is her real-life wedding ring.
• The movie is being filmed in New Orleans and is set in Chicago.
• Mila Kunis was pregnant with her second child while filming.
• The 6 main actresses are all real-life mothers.
• When talking with the stars' real life mothers during the closing credits, Christina Applegate mentions that her mother took her to see the Al Pacino movie "Cruising" when she was 9 years old. Cruising also featured Ed O'Neill who played Applegate's father, Al Bundy, in Married With Children.
Goofs:
• At the supermarket, Carla pours a gallon of milk on her face, chest, and jeans. In the next scene, at the check-out, her clothes are clean and dry.
• When Amy talks to Gwen after the PTO election, Gwen cries in the car. Her driver's side window is partially up in one shot, and all the way down in the next shot.
• In the family therapist's office, the Galileo thermometer behind the therapist keeps showing different temperatures between cuts. One of the colored globes keeps changing positions.
• While set in Chicago, all of the film's exterior scenes were clearly filmed in New Orleans, as evidenced by numerous unique street signs, streets, buildings (mostly in the Garden District and Warehouse District), and landscape, including numerous oak trees, which only grow in the Southern U.S. and Texas.

Trivia:
• The majority of the cast and crew got the tattoo "SKWAD" in honor of this film. The tattoos were even applied by some of the cast members, Margot Robbie and Will Smith.
• The Joker's car, the Jokermobile, is a customized Infiniti G35 Vaydor.
• Jared Leto got so immersed in playing The Joker that he wouldn't break out of character on set even when he wasn't filming. He even sent his fellow cast members "Joker-like" presents: a live rat to Margot Robbie and bullets to Will Smith, a soiled Playboy magazine to Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and a dead hog, anal beads and used condoms for the whole crew. Scott Eastwood commented that Leto frightened him at times with his behavior, and Smith mentioned that he actually never met the real Leto.
• It has been suggested that because of the dark and tormenting nature of this film, an on-set therapist was hired to keep the cast grounded.
• At 5'9 Jared Leto is the one of the shorter Jokers next to Jack Nicholson, who was 5'7, as Heath Ledger was 6'1 and Cesar Romero was 6'3.
Goofs:
• In the scene where Deadshot is practicing with weapons while still being incarcerated, no one is wearing hearing protection. This is required in any facility where firearms are shot, and it surely should have been enforced in a government-run prison facility of all places.
• The length of Joel Kinnaman's hair as Rick Flagg constantly changes from short to medium revealing that those specific scenes were re-shoots.
• Harley falls a long distance into a deep vat of chemicals, after which the Joker jumps in after her. Somehow he is able to lift her above the surface of the liquid, appearing to be standing on solid ground.
• Jared Leto's real tattoos are visible in a couple of scenes. Most notably the triangle on his forearm is seen through the shirt during the club scene.
• The admiral Waller has dinner with has a name tag on his uniform naming him "MacKensie" but the credits name him "Olsen."

Morning Phoenix! Hope everyone is staying cool on this hot and muggy Thursday.
Since the upcoming Presidential elections are about the only thing on the news lately, I thought some Presidential trivia was in order for today. Enjoy!
• The last "foreign" born US president was William Henry Harrison. He was born in 1773, in Virginia, before the USA was formed. The Constitution would later require that the president be a native-born citizen and a resident of the US for at least 14 years.
• The last US President not born in a hospital was Lyndon B. Johnson. He was born in a farmhouse in Texas in 1908.
• The last US President to be born in a log cabin was James Garfield. He was born on Nov. 19, 1831.
• The last US President to own slaves was Ulysses S. Grant. In 1848, when he married Julia Dent, she already owned 1 slave. She received a second as a wedding gift, and later purchased a third one. Grant bought a slave named William Jones and later freed him.
• The last US President to resign from office was Richard Nixon, on August 9, 1974.
• The last US President to serve 4 terms was Franklin Delano Roosevelt. In 1947, the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution limited future presidents to two terms.
