Good morning Phoenix and welcome to another edition of Wacky Wednesday! It’s hump day, and we’re going to look at some of the wackiest (but very real) fears and phobias.

• Phobophobia – this is the fear of fear of developing a phobia.
• Omphalophobia – fear of the navel
• Ablutophobia – fear of bathing
• Somniphobia – fear of falling asleep
• Heliophobia – fear of sunlight
• Spectrophobia – fear of observing reflection in a mirror
• Cathisophobia – fear of sitting down
• Papaphobia – fear of the Pope or Catholic Church
• Scopophobia – fear of being stared at or seen
• Chrometophobia – fear of money

I can’t imagine anyone being scared of money – can you? Most are afraid of the lack of money! Most vampires except for our daywalkers, are afraid of sunlight – well, not really afraid of it, but have a healthy respect for it, knowing that it will harm us.

Most people that are afraid of falling asleep are ones that are afraid of giving up control, or afraid of dying in their sleep.
