7.16.13

Good afternoon Phoenix family! Sorry I'm late with the post.... *yawns* I was just too worn out to post sooner. *grins* Good to know the daily posts were missed though - that's appreciated! So, without further ado - here we go:
On this day in :
1790: The District of Columbia was established as the seat of the United States government. (do you know why? - it was so all states would be equal, not housing the Nation's capital)
1935: The first parking meters were installed in Oklahoma City.
1999: John F. Kennedy, Jr., his wife Carolyn Bessette, and her sister Lauren, died in a plane crash near Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts.
Some really strange laws:
In Texas, it's illegal to put graffiti on someone else's cow.
In Alabama, dominoes may not be played on Sunday.
In New York City, it's illegal to shake a dust mop out a window.
I guess you can spray paint your own cow... LOL
Have a fantastic Midnight Breed day everyone!
