7.21.13

Good morning Phoenix! Ready for some trivia?
On this day in:
1861: Confederate forces won victory at Bull Run in the first major battle of the Civil War.
1873: The first train robbery west of the Mississippi was pulled off by Jesse James and his gang.
1925: In the"Monkey Trial" John T. Scopes was found guilty of violating Tennessee state law by teaching evolution.
Strange laws:
It is illegal to lie down and fall asleep with your shoes on in North Dakota.
In Berkeley CA you can't whistle for an escaped bird before 7 am.
An old law in Bellingham WA made it illegal for a woman to take anything other than backward steps while dancing.
Have a great Midnight Breed day!
