7.25.13

Happy Thursday Phoenix! One day closer to the weekend.
On this day in history:
1946: The United States tested the first underwater atomic bomb at Bikini Atoll.
1952: Puerto Rico became a commonwealth of the US.
1978: The world's first test tube baby, Louise Joy Brown, was born in Lancashire, England.
Strange laws:
The vow of a Roman vestal virgin lasted 30 years. If she engaged in sex before then, she was punished by being buried alive.
The Romans would crush a first time rapist's gonads between two stones. (Bet there weren't many repeat offenders)
In China, women are prohibited from walking around a hotel room in the nude. A woman may be naked only while in the bathroom.
Have a great Midnight Breed day!
