Happy Sunday Phoenix! Have you all had a great weekend? Hope everyone is doing fine and relaxing today.

Sorry to be late with the trivia... someone kept me up late last night..... Jenna ... LOL.

On this day in :

1934: The first inmates arrived at the federal prison on Alcatraz Island in San Francisco Bay.

1956: Abstract artist Jackson Pollock died in an automobile accident.

1965: Following the arrest of a young black motorist, the predominately black neighborhood of Watts in Los Angeles erupted in riots that lasted six days and left 34 dead.

Strange laws:

Illinois: You must contact the police before entering the city in an automobile.

Maine: You may not step out of a plane in flight. (they had to make a law out of this? Really? Did someone actually do that - other than a skydiver?)

Hawaii: All residents may be fined as a result of not owning a boat.

  Cathy Hunter McCarron Ok If you live in Maine...YOU must show us this law in writing cause dammmmmm I need to see this...cause I want to step off a plane IN the air and hope I sprout wings and fly to my destination...cause these dammm flights take tooooo long.......lol.... AND why would NOT own a boat in Hawaii....cause I would have my BOAT in the water ALLLLLL THE TIME!!!! Helllllo its Hawaii!!!
