Good morning and Happy Sunday Phoenix! Hopefully everyone will find some time to just relax today. I know that's in my plan for today. Here's today's dose of wedding trivia in Mat's honor – not much longer till you are off the market bro!
Wedding Trivia:
Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve are the two busiest "marriage" days in Las Vegas -- elopement central!
In Ethiopia, women from certain tribes place plates in their lower lip in order to entice a rich groom. The larger the protruding lip, the more a groom will pay.
In many Muslim countries and parts of Greece, the groom is expected to show the virginal blood on the sheets the morning after the wedding. The couple’s family is waiting outside to ensure the bride was a virgin and the husband was virile.
In Mediterranean countries, Jordan almonds are given to guests at a wedding to represent the bitter and the sweet sides of marriage.
Nearly $72 billion is spent on weddings every year in the United States.
Joke of the Day:
It's 1957 and Bobby goes to pick up his date, Peggy Sue. Peggy Sue's father answers the door and invites him in.
He asks Bobby what they're planning to do on the date. Bobby politely responds that they'll probably just go to the malt shop or to a drive-in movie.
Peggy Sue's father suggests, "Why don't you kids go out and screw? I hear all of the kids are doing it."
Bobby is shocked. "Excuse me, sir?"
"Oh yes, Peggy Sue really likes to screw. She'll screw all night if we let her."
Peggy Sue comes downstairs and announces that she's ready to go.
About 20 minutes later, a thoroughly disheveled Peggy Sue rushes back into the house, slams the door behind her, and screams at her father, "Dad! The Twist! It's called the Twist!"
Quote of the Day:
Everyone is born equal in life, until they get married.
Random Daily Factoid:
The odds of getting a hole-in-one in golf are estimated at about 18,000-to-1.
Great Place for a Getaway:
Walt Disney World
There's no better place for a fairy tale honeymoon for the bride and her Prince Charming than at Walt Disney World Resorts. Newlyweds can choose from packages such as the honeymoon escape, the deluxe escape and the romantic escape, which combines time at a Disney resort with a cruise to the Bahamas. Packages include accommodations and park passes, as well as a choice of amenities including honeymoon pictures at Disney sites or a couple's spa treatment. True Disney fans can bring the whole wedding to Disney World with a customized-theme wedding at the park.
Have a fangtastic Sinful Sunday!  Brock
