Good morning and TGIF Phoenix! We made it to another weekend. Whew....!
Here are a few more wedding traditions from around the world. Do you have any advice for Mathias? Leave your advice in the comments!
Guests in ancient times would tear off part of the bride’s gown as tokens of good luck, leading to the tradition of the bride throwing both her garter and her bouquet.
In some African ceremonies, it was a sentiment of well wishing to greet the new bride with the words: “May you bear 12 children with him.”
In Japan, the couple takes nine sips of sake, becoming husband and wife after the first sip.
The color of love and joy in China is red, so during the ceremony the couple drink wine and honey from goblets tied together with red string.
Joke of the Day:
Children in the backseat can cause accidents.
Accidents in the backseat can cause children.
Quote of the Day:
When a couple is arguing over who loves who more, the one that gives up is the real winner.
Random Daily Factoid:
The Bible is the most-shoplifted book in the world.
Great Honeymoon Spot:
Marrakesh, Morocco – Between the rolling desert, carriage rides through ancient markets, belly dancers and snake charmers, this North African city feels like an epic movie set. Take a 90 minute car ride to the village of Imlil in the Atlas Mountains, and either trek or take a donkey up to the hilltop Kasbah du Toubkal to enjoy stunning views of Mt. Jbel Toubkal and authentic Moroccan fare at the kasbah's rooftop restaurant. The Baldaquin Suite, outfitted with a show stopping canopy bed is perfect for honeymooners.
Have a fangtastic day everyone!  Brock
